There's a strange sort of negativity on here
Can't quite put my finger on it, but it feels like the uneasy stillness before a storm.

A win at Anfield might clear the air, though.

Of pigs.

The only strange thing, is this thread

Two losses, each with a red card and conceding 6 goals at home in the process to two clubs who many people were tipping for relegation will do that.

However a win at Anfield will indeed clear the air. At the moment, it looks about as likely as me winning the Euromillions tomorrow night though.

We've lost at home to Leicester and Bournemouth. We're hardly going to be strutting our stuff to Lionel Richie's 'Dancing on the Ceiling' are we?

What does that make us then?

Maybe we're not as good as we think we are?

Re: There's a strange sort of negativity on here
Almost everything good about this season has been crushed almost immediately with something worse.

Europe - sold out at home, couldn't take a big enough lead into the second leg, had 3 players sent off, and waved the white flag on the way out

Arsenal - immediately followed by Leicester, then Bournemouth

Reece Oxford - Brilliant debut, subbed at half time in the next match

Valencia - long term injury

Carroll - another set back

And through it all, Nolan still manages to get in the starting eleven.

I thought going 2 nil up v arsenal on first game of season and not drawing 2-2 meant we broke the hoo doo from when we first flopped and went down in...

If we beat liverpool im right!

Oh yeah, Allardyce out, Bilic in - another change that lasted a couple of weeks.

Re: There's a strange sort of negativity on here
It's because most want it to work out with Bilic, so a lot of posters are not in full neg mode right now, including myself.

Newcastle will be huge if and when we lose at Anfield, you may then see an explosion of negativity. Also depends on what happens before the window shuts.

Fear not...we'll sign Adebayor in a couple of days and everything will be rosey again. Our hero and saviour, the prolific, the highly skilled, the one and only.... Emmanuele Adebayor.

You've put your finger on it. Everyone wants it to work out with Bilic. All the prickliness is frustration at Europe, Leicester and Bournemouth combined with not wanting to have a go at Bilic.

Re: There's a strange sort of negativity on here
I think its more a general feeling of malaise. We've had some bad luck injury wise on top some very poor individual displays.

We won't get anything from Anfield.
